A woman staff of Asustek Computer Inc, a leading Taiwan computer maker displays a low-cost laptop computer after the company launches the model "Eee PC" in Taipei. The model, mainly targeting children, elderly people, and low-income users in the developing world is powered by an Intel central processing unit and installed with a memory chip of 512 megabite, and a seven- inch screen, weighs only 890 grams (31.15 ounces). The model carries a price tag of 11,000 Taiwan dollars (337.4 USD)
